Dumplings & Borscht

Dumplings & Borscht brings you a piece of Ukrainian traditional dishes, such as Vegetarian Borscht, perfect for those who want to keep themselves warm during the cold weather. Varenyky (also known as perogies) with freshly WA-grown potatoes or fresh homemade cottage cheese. With side options of crispy bacon chunks, rich Canadian style sour cream and shredded spicy carrots. This year they are adding an addition to their menu. Pelmeni also known as dumplings. They will offer dumplings filled with either chicken or pork. Garnished with fresh green chives, Canadian-style sour cream, and your choice of vinegar or other dressings.

They can be found under the name of “European Foods, located here in Seattle. As a family-operated business since 1997, they were the first Eastern European grocery/restaurant in WA.

Experience the artistry of traditional French crêpes and Seattle Christmas Market’s French Crêperie! Xavier Degardin is the founder of J&Y mobile crêperie, and has honed his skills at France’s most prestigious crêpe school, earning the title of “Chef Crêpes Master.”

At Spätzle Haus, you can savor traditional German Spätzle—delicate, hand-crafted dumplings that are the epitome of comforting, European cuisine. Spätzle are soft, noodle-like dumplings made from a simple mixture of flour, eggs, and salt, often enjoyed with a variety of savory sauces. This authentic taste of Germany is perfect for transporting you to the festive streets of Europe!

As a young child, Chef Selma fled the war in Bosnia and found refuge in Germany, where she developed a passion for the rich flavors of traditional Christmas Markets. Now living in Seattle, Selma and her husband, Eric, run Baked in Bosnia, bringing a taste of Europe to the Pacific Northwest.

They offer 5 different nuts, and one seed, that they transform into traditional Cinnamon and Praline treats, as well as Sweet & Salty and Spicy flavors. You’ll never find as many flavors in one place, and they guarantee that you’ll never taste a better roasted nut in your life!

Das Bratwurst Haus

Traditional German Bratwurst stands out for its finely ground meat, seasoned with subtle spices. This year, Altengartz German Sausages, run by father and son team, George and Jameson Wittkopp, will bring their world-famous bratwurst exclusively at the Seattle Christmas Market. While they focus on “one perfect recipe” with their signature German Bratwurst and Vegan brat; they will also feature an all-beef bratwurst and currywurst for guests to enjoy. Stop by their hut to experience a taste of tradition; or take home a package of sausages to enjoy at home! Prost!
