Our beautiful products are lovingly handmade by family members and artisans in South America from the softest alpaca and sheep wool, and come in a wide variety of colors and designs to keep you warm in style. Our family of artisans creates the most vibrant, unique, and high-quality pieces ready to enjoy for many years to come.

Sumac El Sol means "handmade sun" in a blend of the indigenous language Quechua and Spanish to reflect the cultural backgrounds of our products.

Business owners Diego and Amy are a husband and wife team started Sumac in 2017 to bring the beauty, warmth, and softness of alpaca wool from Diego's culture to our home in Seattle, Washington.
